Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept walk-ins?

No, we apologetically do not. However, we do encourage you to give us a call as early in the day as possible, as same-day appointments may be a possibility as circumstances align.

  • Why are your prices higher than other groomers'?

The products and equipment that we utilize are of the highest quality and when paired with both a certified and experienced groomer, the quality of the groom and handling of your dog will be unmatched. We charge based on the time and labor that goes into caring for your pet and for the fact that we are exclusively attending to your pet within their allotted timeframe. Their uninterrupted personalized experience with us is like none they will receive elsewhere.

  • Why are you so strict about timing? Drop-off and pick-up?

Timing is pivotal to the way we conduct our business. It’s the key reason that we can offer what others can’t or won’t. For us to give each dog our undivided attention, with no rushing, the client must be on time for their dog’s drop-off. For each minute that an owner is late, they are cutting into their own dog’s service time. We will not run into our next client’s appointment under any circumstances as we wish to maintain professionalism and delicacy to every client’s needs.

As far as pick-up is concerned, we are a cage-free salon, having no place to hold your dog separately with thorough supervision while we tend to other clients. To ensure that you will be arriving on-time for your pet, we give prior notice of the length of time they will be in our care when making your appointment. We also send you a reminder on the day before your scheduled appointment.

Moreover, it is made clear when your dog will be ready upon drop-off and once more 15-20 minutes before your dog is ready. We really do everything in our power to refrain from charging dog sitting fees.

  • My dog is uncooperative with grooming. How do I know you can groom my dog?

We offer free onsite consultations. In fact, we REQUIRE a consultation for the following concerns:

    • for dogs ages 10 and up,
    • for dogs with any form of anxiety,
    • for dogs that show aggression being handled,
    • for dogs that have had a traumatic experience at other salons,
    • for dogs that have been asked not to return at other salons.

We must remember that dogs, much like people, react to their environment and people’s personalities differently and uniquely. With that in mind, because they weren’t fond of another salon before trying us, doesn’t mean that they’ll have the same feelings towards our service and vice versa. Our consultation usually takes ~15 minutes and covers an overview of our grooming process as we assess your dog’s reaction. If we feel that we can successfully groom them, we’ll give you our feedback, pricing and timing. If we feel that their safety is compromised due to their behavior and we are not comfortable taking them in, we’ll provide recommendations as to what your best options are outside of our care. Your pet’s comfort, both mentally and physically, is of utmost importance to us and it is imperative that you are honest with us about your pet’s detailed history to avoid any unfortunate accidents or refusals of service.

  • Why do I need to give you a credit card to keep on file?

Due to our compact schedule, we count on our clients to make it on time to their predetermined appointment windows. To encourage adherence to their reserved time slots, we require a credit card to charge in case of no-shows or last-minute cancellations. It also helps expedite the process when someone other than yourself is picking up.

Cancellations made less than 2 hours before appointment time or if a client does not show up will be charged 100% of their appointment. Frequent no-notice cancellations will require prepayment of service when booking.

  • What do I do if the groom isn’t what I hoped for?

Your satisfaction is everything to us. We take our time to both listen to and discuss the finest details of a groom with the owner, confirming our mutual intentions clearly. Typically, if the groom isn’t exactly how you pictured it for any reason, (coat issue, breed specialization, etc.), we can correct the problem thereafter given proper feedback, as no matter the situation, we will always attempt to rectify the critique, given the opportunity to do so. We simply ask that you make us aware of your feedback through phone call, e-mail, or text message within 24 hours of the appointment to allow us the chance to make it right. We are committed to our craft and will always do our best to make it worth both your time and money with every service.

  • Do you offer services to cats or other pets?

We may offer certain services to other pets. An initial consultation will be required to make sure your pet can be handled safely.
